You will form part of the core technical team working on internal and client projects on all aspects of component and vehicle testing.
• Planning, managing and conducting a wide range of performance, reliability and durability tests on components and vehicles.
• Designing and creating test procedures and supporting development of sub-system and component test procedures and DVP&R’s.
• Being responsible for instrumentation of components and test vehicles including installing accelerometers, strain gauges, pressure transducers, thermocouples, etc.
• Creating detailed test reports that include both objective and subjective test findings and results.
• Working with Engineering and Multi-Functional Teams to resolve issues found during testing.
• Managing test programmes on time and within budget.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or significant, directly relevant experience) is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of automotive test engineering experience.
• Experience in setting up and using data acquisition systems to collect test rig data, road load data, vibration levels, noise levels, temperatures, etc.
• Experience using CAN tools and analysing CAN data.
• Data analysis experience with MATLAB or other relevant tools.
• Ability to travel on a worldwide basis.
